Tanguar haor is the beauty queen of Surma basin of Bangladesh .It is located at the north-eastern corner of Bangladesh under Sunamganj at Dharmapasha and Tahirpur Upazila and adjacent to Meghlaya hill range.It is a world heritage consisted with rare specieses of flora and fauna.It is wetland ecosystem comprising 10000 ha of area at the foothills of Western Khasi hills of Shillong massif.
