Madhyanag Bazer is an union of Dharmapasha Upazila of Sunamganj of Bangladesh.It is located at the North-Eastern corner frontier of Bangladesh. Geologically it belongs to Surma basin.Most of the area constituted with alluvium flood plain and tectonic depression,haor(হাওড়)or bill(বিল), wetlands are common feature of Madhyanagar. Famous Tanguar Haor , Buala ,Toger, Saldigha Beel, Shonir haor are adjacent to this area. Meghlaya hill range and Shillong massif stand on just 20Km away from

Madhynagar. People’s livelihoods and culture are largely dominated by the haor economy where agriculture & beel fisheries play vital role. Paddy fields and fishing water bodies are main socio-economic contributor for livelihood of mass people. its most of the area goes under water for five (05) months then it becomes as an Island. Daily life and working become stagnant. Madhyanagar does not get to lead to continue its regular life style from June to October of every calendar year.This is a big problem for developing aspect.The economic cycle pauses in this period. জ্যৈষ্ঠ মাসের শেষের দিকে বেশীর ভাগ এলাকা ডুবে যায়।
